Dan frowned a little at the request, and glanced back over at the beer. Then he shrugged a little and nodded. "Sure, okay. Can I get a coffee instead?" Surely his older self wouldn't have given that up as well. He didn't smoke, he didn't drink, there was no fucking way he'd have given up coffee.
He walked closer to her as he spoke, smiling again as he noticed that she had dimples. "So your mom told me you're all better now," he said, as if the complete lack of flies wasn't more than obvious to him, "which is brilliant. No more doctors, right? You look amazing, by the way."
