Dan did as Shep said, his free hand coming up to grab hold of her shoulder as he swayed in front of her. His head dropped down as he stood there, and he realized that they must have looked like they were trying to dance. The world's shittiest slow-dance, given how crap he was going to be at, well, everything. His hearing was coming and going with his pulse, but by the time Jack was on his feet, things seemed to have settled down.
After that, Dan was content to go wherever his dad and Shep were going to take him. He could move his legs and stop when he was told to, but he was mostly just zoned out, almost but not quite asleep on his feet.
