"Wasn't asking for money," Dan pointed out, before grabbing at Shep's hand and bracing himself. With her help, he somehow managed to haul himself up off the ground, using the pillar to keep himself (mostly) upright once he was vertical. His new sunglasses slipped down his nose and everything was too bright and too much until he dared let go of the pillar to push them back up to cover his eyes. "Oh, fuck," he said softly, wobbling on his very unsteady feet like a newborn fawn while his head felt like it was going to explode.
"I thought... other way round?" he tried to ask, doing his very very best to remain upright as he peered down a little at Shep. The pillar became very helpful at that point as he slumped back against it and did his damnedest not to slip back down to the ground.
