Oh, she was tempted. Very tempted. Especially after a 40 something man with a ridiculous moustache had singled her out and accused her of being a groupie for the freaks inside. Her struggle to keep her composure was clearly visible on her face as she tried to tell herself that it wasn't worth it.

After years of prejudice for being something she had never had a single choice in being - well, Maggie Struhler had once kindly reminded her that suicide was indeed a choice; one of the rare moments where Liam had defended her without a second of a doubt and Maggie had booked herself a hospital room for two weeks - but Katherine had carried wounds away from the battles of her childhood and the fear that came with being treated differently. Arguing and fighting was for her own sanity more than it was for anything else. It meant that she did not believe them.
