A shower in the afternoon did wonders; it immediately made her feel like a new person. The morning had been full of labour. She had hopped between the wheels and checked on the animals around. For most of the time, she left them alone. However, regular check-ups were required. Let let the brood run around completely unsupervised. So, she had chased them around today. It had come on top of a particular tiring training session in the morning. But the exhaustion was slowly vanishing. Her body regenerated more quickly than that of any human.
With only thin linen trousers and a pale blue t-shirt, she entered the living-room. Her hair was still wet and the drops had left a trail on the soft cotton that covered her back. She found her two men relaxing together. It was a good picture. If she had her camera with her, she would take a picture right now. One to join the myriad she already possessed. But she had no camera right now and so her memory had to serve.
Bare feet took her towards them. The living-room was a kept light. The ceiling was high above them with artificial windows stretching over the walls. The windows gave a similar view as the one you had from the park. It was one of many options. The furniture was kept simple and modern with a delicate finish. White couches with tables of light wood and marble. A water feature was set in one corner and a fire place took up the wall opposite the windows. The fire place was a sight to see. It looked as if it led further into the wall: the entrance to a cave. Especially when it was not lid, it seemed like it could spit out monsters.
"And what have you two been up to?" she asked the two men as she let herself drop next to them.
