John listened without judgement. What right did he have to judge the other man? They were both cut from a similar cloth, by the sounds of things. Only John was certain that the other man was a better man than he would ever be. And yet did Hell wait for both of them or just John? He tried not to scoff at Arthur's comment about John being truthful. John had been somewhat honest with the other man, of course. But he had not given him all the information.
"I'm not a good man either..." John replied. "Everyone has a bit of good and evil in them. We're just people at the end of the day" he shrugged. "We do what we need to in order to survive" he turned his head back to look at Arthur, grinning. "I might not be the best person to give your last confession to either, mate. You're going to survive this, trust me" he said, turning back to look where he was going.
