Despit all of the aches and pains and fresh scratchesfollowing the full moon, it was very good to be back in his own body. John's wasn't the worst - except perhaps the smoke-related lung damage - but it was like crashing in a motel rather than your own bed. And the constant instrusive thoughts and memories were very disturbing. Although, they had been helpful, and he hoped that they might be helpful for Gen to hear about as well. Then again, John had promised to keep his secret for him, so he would have to be selective with how much he shared in return.
He was also curious to hear what it was Gen had wanted to tell him about.
It took him a bit of time to get to Lacey's, because he was feeling a little weak, and he had a slight limp to his gait. But tea and cake would help enormously. Once he arrived, he sat himself down at a booth, easing himself down by holding onto the edge of the table so as not to aggravate any strained muscles any further. He gave a slight hiss of pain, and then it passed as he settled in.
