"Yeah. Yeah I'm alright." Neville wasn't totally lying, but wasn't totally telling the truth either. He wanted to know a little bit more about whoever this was and where(when)ever they came from before he gave too much away. Even if fit was someone from his own world's past, he probably wouldn't keep everything from them, but that was probably a conversation best saved for another time. "I'm Neville by the way." he added, hoping that leaving out his last name wouldn't be a red flag.
"He's a Nightfury. I don't think there are many of them." he answered, adding, "I found him as an egg and raised him, he won't hurt you." Though it seemed he wasn't too worried, Neville wanted to reassure anyway. Ruby seemed to take this as encouragement and opened his mouth to lick the length of the man's hand. "Really?" Neville commented dryly, reaching in to his back pocket for a hand rag he kept there whenever he was gardening, offering it out. Ruby just gave him a wide, toothless grin.
