Who: People who Shine and People with the Force Where: The Jedi Temple on the Island When: 6th March, afternoon What: A meeting of minds? ha.
The door was going to close very soon, so Dan was driving his pick-up round to all the places that had been pointed out to him on a map and making sure people were going to be able to get all their belongings back onto the station. Jack and Abra were along with him, to help with any carrying that might need doing since Dan's shoulder wouldn't let him do any of it, and to get to see more of the Island.
Grown-up Bill had assured him that he had the comic and book stores well in hand, and no-longer-blue Jake was just finishing up emptying a weapons store by the looks of it. Dan had been trying to see if there was anything Brenna or Bryn might like, but Jake's mind was all over the place as they spoke (he was pleased to get at all the weapons again, but he was missing someone very much... Aaron? Eric? The name was vague in Dan's mind, but the sense of brother was very strong) and had set off yet another headache.
Or rather, Jake's see-sawing emotions had been the thing that had tipped a minor niggle over the edge into full-blown headache. It seemed like everyone who had history with the place was in a similar mind-set, probably because the door was about to close, and Dan was picking up little bits from everyone. He was okay to drive, although the fact that there was nobody else on the roads was good. The sun was bright despite his sunglasses, the weather was hot and people's minds were pushing at his, so by the time they'd reached the Jedi Temple, his head was throbbing in time with his pulse and he was seriously considering asking his dad to do the rest of the driving. He just wanted to lie down in a cool dark room for as long as he could get away with.
He turned off the engine once they had stopped, and looked round at Abra and his dad. (the temple looks pretty impressive) he sent, before looking round him for a bottle of water. Maybe it was just too hot and he needed a drink, and then he'd be fine. Maybe.
