"Yes, yes. It can wait," he insisted gently, feeling an absolute fool without having to send his friend on an errand for him. It was nagging at him, throbbing in one particular area that he had grown very familiar with over the last few months. But it would wait.
"I needed out of the apartment for a while to clear my head," he admitted, with a bit of a shrug. "Aimlessly walking wasn't really cutting it, so I came in for something a little more taxing. I am allowed to exercise, I am just meant to pay attention to my body and not push past the warning signs," he explained. "I pushed past the warning signs," he added, as if that wasn't pretty damn clear to everyone involved. "I was enjoying the distraction, and in the moment I didn't really care about my spine," he admitted. It was stupid, it was incredibly foolish, but it was the truth.
