Who: Miguel and Sarah (and Lyla) Where: Nueva York, 2099 (through the Christmas Door) What: The plan is "showing Sarah around town and Alchemax". When: December 10th, afternoonish Open: No Status: Unfinished
[OoC: Nueva York looks like this: 1234. Think cyber-punk, companies running everything (Alchemax in this case), maglev trains, a very nice lovely high-tech city built right on top of a pre-existing shitty city - Nueva York is built right on top of New York, which is now known as Downtown, since it's literally "Down below". If you go through the door with Miguel, it'll open into his penthouse apartment in a very nice area of Nueva York.]
Miguel stood at the window in his living room and looked out and down at the familiar view of skyscrapers, private eye cycles and maglev trains. He was wearing familiar clothes that he wasn't overly-fond of, most of the sounds of the apartment were familiar and somewhat grating, and best of all, he was getting ready to head into work. No doubt Tyler would be beyond delighted to see him.
"Have you synced up with everything yet, Lyla?" he asked, not bothering to look round at his holoagent as she stood in her spot in the center of the room.
"Yes, Miguel. We have been away for twenty-two hours, thirty-seven minutes and sixteen seconds. You have three messages from Gabri, one from your mother, and none from Dana or Mr Tyler Stone. In major news stories, reports of dinosaurs, early twencen bi-planes and other temporal anomalies have been rubbished by Alchema-"
"Of course they have. Can't admit when they're shocking around with the time-stream," Miguel muttered and checked his cuffs. "Play Gabri's messages, Lyla, and while you're doing that, prepare a brief refresher of what's been happening here? My head's still full of Station things."
"Of course, Miguel. Gabri's first message is as follows," Lyla answered, before switching to look like a younger version of Miguel, although his hair wasn't just as curly, and he was wearing his goggles so he'd clearly been working. "Miggy! Pick up, man, I saw the news feed. Were you out fighting a shocking dinosaur? Are you okay? Mom's be-"
"Pause it, Lyla. I'm going to need coffee before I hear what Mom's been up to in the less-than-one-day we've been on the station." Miguel turned away from the view and walked around the paused hologram of his brother, and went over to his kitchen where Lyla had worked her usual miracle and made a pot of coffee. "Sarah?" he called out, "Do you want anything?"
