"Well, alright, if you are certain... be careful.." he responded when the young fellow decided he was going to try the door. He didn't really know why he cared, but the boy had been good and patient with him so far, he really didn't want him to come to harm on his behalf. And God knows what this place was, or what might be behind the many doors.
He heard that the knock sounded out, not like knocking on wood, and he frowned a little. He didn't realise he'd been holding his breath, waiting on someone responding to the knock. Nothing. No one.
"What happened?" he asked as Bill cursed about something. He could hear him take a couple of steps, but he stayed where he was, no keen to walk into something and make a fool of himself. But anyway, Bill was explaining (slowly) what had happened, but it didn't help anything become any clearer.
"Strange indeed..." he said softly, and then decided he'd better just ask. "It does not appear to be a hospital room?"
