To Rawdon it felt like he’d just blinked and things had changed. The next time he opened his eyes he was in a slightly different position. Someone had adjusted him, cared for his comfort level, but he couldn’t see anyone it might have been.
He looked back to his arm. The modern devices were still attached, and the lights and beeping were certainly not if his own time. Had he imagined her? Probably, but at least it was a pleasant thing to imagine.
