Danny nodded. He rattled off their number, his mom having made him learn it off by heart before they'd even been in the apartment a week, and then decided he'd talked enough. He moved a little so he could rearrange his blanket and get his bare feet off the floor, and pulled the corner of the blanket back over his head again. He could still get out the other side of the table if he had to, and he was a quick runner. If this all went wrong, he could run.
