Who? Rawdon & Isabel Where? Between their apartments When? This evening What? Not being a drama queen. Rating? Uuhh.. low, I think. Maybe some regency underwear. Open? No
The whole vaccination process had been built up to quite a drama for Rawdon. He'd heard from Dr Morgan, Miss Darcy and Miss Sully that it was likely that he would have an adverse reaction to the injections. The actual process hadn't been too awful, and he had just about convinced himself that it was all simply a case of mind over matter.
He headed back to his apartment, and he'd spent the afternoon just trying not to think about it. If he could keep himself distracted, time would pass and before he knew it, he'd be in the clear. Miss Sully had said he would be fine the next morning.
It wasn't until after dinner that he started to feel a bit funny. It came over him quite suddenly, starting with a dull ache in his muscles that felt like it was right down to his bones. Half an hour later, the shivering had started. He was trembling as though he was in the arctic, but his skin felt burning hot. He'd started to strip down, and by the time he stumbled out into the hallway he was down to a loose linen shirt and knee-length white linen underwear, laced up the back in the traditional manner.
He paused for a moment. Where the fuck did he think he was going? Back to the doctor? No, that was ridiculous. He knew it was side effects. He knew it wasn't as serious as it felt. He paced, back and forth for a moment, and then he knocked on the door opposite.
