That brought a grin to his face. Maybe it wasn't his Shine then. Maybe it was something he remembered. Jack didn't notice that Dan stared, though, as he tried not to be as piggish as he wanted to be as he put away the slices of meatloaf. And if he had paused for a second he would have thought to save at least one slice for later. There was nothing better than a cold meatloaf sandwich.
But it was way too late when the thought came to him. And he pushed back his chair, unbuttoned his jacket and waist coat. "I say again. That was a good call." He snagged the coffee as he relaxed in the chair.
