Who: Miggy and SPIDER-MAN OMG!!!!!!!!!
Where: the Mall
What: Fanboying!!!
When: September 15, after lunch
Rating: very low, Miggy is six.

Miggy and Mouse were out for a walk. Miggy spent most of his time with Mouse now, since the massive dog made him feel a lot better about being away from home, and he could tell Mouse things and know that they'd stay secrets. Sometimes he spoke in Spanish, like when it was just him and Ma in the apartment and Gabri was asleep, sometimes he spoke in English. Mouse didn't seem to mind either way. Usually, they walked in the park, but this time Miguel had headed in a different direction. Mouse would know how to get back to Sarah's apartment, though, so it was okay. They weren't going to get lost.

Soon enough, they arrived in what had to be a mall. There were loads of stores, although none that he knew, and lots of walkways and balconies, and they'd walked into it on one of the higher floors. Not bothered by the height, Miggy went over to the handrail and tried to clamber up enough so that he could look down to see just how high up they were. Mouse was there in an instant, sort of nosing his way in between Miggy and the handrail so that he wouldn't fall down however many floors to the bottom. "Mouse! I was gonna b-" Miggy started to say, except he got distracted by what looked like someone from his history books. A couple of walkways over, there was someone running up one of the big pillars, and then they backflipped off and bounced all round the place, jumping from balcony to balcony and all sorts of things. Miggy just stared in amazement.

"Mouse, is that really Spider-man?" he asked, not daring to take his eyes from the man for a single second. The man acted like Spider-man did in the old vids he could find on the cybernet, and he wore pretty similar clothes to him, and oh! oh WOW, he had web-shooters! It was Spider-man! Miggy ran out onto one of the walkways for a better view, while Mouse gave a loud "woof!" and followed after him.

“Everybody watch out, here comes the amazing, spectacular Spider-Man!” Peter shouted as he ran up a pillar and jumped off it, shooting a web onto the bottom of a balcony to catch him before he fell. He swung wide and far, again and again, his heart pounding. “AND THE CROWD GOES WILD! AAAAAAH AHHHHHH!”

Peter laughed out loud and caught his breath as he paused for a moment, standing perpendicular to the floor. Suddenly the hairs on his neck and arms stood up, something catching his weird spider-sense thing. But he couldn’t see anything dangerous, just a kid and his dog watching him. No big, right?

“Hey! Hey kid!” he yelled across from his pillar-perch, not able to see exactly who he was shouting to through his mask. “You wanna see something awesome?”

"Yes!" Miggy yelled back, beyond delighted that Spider-Man was talking to him! This was incredible - Spider-Man was always his favorite in history lessons. Sure, Captain America and Iron Man and the Avengers and all the X-Men were great, but... Spider-Man!

“Alright, Pete, gotta impress…” he whispered to himself as he turned to face the ceiling. This was gonna be the move, the one that he’d been trying to do for weeks and had almost got right. Just had to remember to lead off the right foot, catch enough speed and shoot after the third somersault. “3…2…1…”

He vaulted in a sprint up towards the ceiling, his muscles burning as he calculated the right point to jump. Peter reached it and jumped off with all his height, twisting into one, two, three turns. His web shot from both wrists and he grabbed them, swinging wider than he ever had, jumping from the web.

His toe caught on the very edge of the balcony railing as he aimed, and he stumbled over it, landing face-first on the floor with a thud.

“Tada…” Peter mumbled into the floor.

This was amazing! Miggy grinned as he watched Spider-Man do all his somersaults, and then... thud.

"Oh no!" Miggy said under his breath and then ran over to see if Spider-Man was okay.

"Are you okay? Mr Spider-Man?" he asked, putting his hand on the man's shoulder as he knelt down beside him. Mouse, as always, followed behind.

He didn’t think anything was broken, except maybe his dignity. And his phone screen.

Peter groaned a little as he turned over onto his back, just laying there for a moment just to not scare the kid. “Yeah, yeah, I’m fine, I promise. Just a slight… uh… miscalculation on that last jump, can never seem to get that move quite right.”

His hand reached up and he pulled off his mask just to breathe properly. “Hope I didn’t scare you or your dog.”

Wow. Okay. So that was Spider-Man.

"Uh, Mouse is fine," Miggy said. Mouse gave another lazy woof from behind to confirm this. "If you're going to get a bump, we should get you something cold to put on it. It helps stop swelling."

He shifted about to sit cross-legged beside Spider-Man, then had an idea. "I know who can help with your jump. Look, my friend Sarah has a holo-agent, she helps with all sorts of stuff!" Miggy lifted a watch out of his pocket and put it on the floor. "Lyla? Can you help Spider-Man?"

Lyla appeared, a foot tall and standing on top of the watch. "Hello, Miggy," she said with a big smile, before turning to look at Peter. "Hello, Spider-Man, how can I help?" A sign had appeared in her hand furthest from Miggy so he couldn't see it, and on it was written 'THIS IS MIGUEL. ACT LIKE WE'VE NEVER MET BEFORE!'

This kid was really freaking familiar. But his head was still kinda pounding so Peter didn’t really think much of it, or think at all because thinking hurt his nose. “I’m good, even if anything’s broken, it’ll heal pretty quick. Y’know, cos I’m a superhero. No big deal.”

Peter sat up as the thumping died down, his hair a sweaty mess plastered to his face. At least he’d managed to pull off the hard part of the web swing. Apparently he only had trouble with the easy stuff.

“Lyla?” he repeated, blinking as Lyla suddenly she appeared on top of the kid’s watch. Miggy. Miguel. This was Miguel. What the actual frick.

He almost panicked but blinked rapidly instead. “Hello… Lyla. We’ve never met before.”

"That is correct, Spider-Man. We have never met before, although Miggy has studied you in history class," Lyla confirmed, then gave Peter a very large and obvious wink.

"I have, yeah!" Miggy added, still a bit concerned about Spider-Man's face. It looked puffy around the nose, and that probably meant black eyes. Without even thinking about it, he'd reached up and rubbed at the remnants of his own black eye, all gross and yellowy-brown now after ten days. "Are you sure you're okay?"

This was super weird. His friend was… a six year old? Or was this a six year old version of his friend? Either way, super weird, totally crazy, and kinda fun at the same time. At least his puffy face disguised his expressions because Peter was sure he’d have given the game away by now.

“Wow, an AI inside a watch. That’s awesome…” he said, reaching up to touch his own face. “I’m good, promise. Spider-Men heal in like five minutes flat, and I’ve had way worse accidents. You know… safety first and everything!” he smiled, though that hurt. “What’s your name again? Is it Miggy like the watch lady says?”

"I'm Miguel, but everyone calls me Miggy," he replied, almost telling Spider-Man not to smile if his nose was sore. He knew from lots of experience that it would hurt a lot, but if Spider-Men healed quickly maybe it didn't for him?

"I have analysed the data from your webswinging, Spider-Man. I will discuss it with you later," Lyla interrupted. "Goodbye, Spider-Man. Goodbye, Miggy."

"Bye, Lyla," he said, then looked back round at Spider-Man. "Have you been here long? I got here a week ago."

“Nice to meet you then, Miggy,” Peter replied, making to stand up now the world had stopped being so fuzzy. The healing factor had kicked in, then, not long until he was just slightly sore and bruised instead of puffy. Great. “I’m Peter.”

His eyes dashed to Lyla, wanting to say thank you, though she disappeared before he could say it. Peter guessed that they’d be discussing Miguel and what the heck was going on.

Peter got to his feet and ran his hand through his messy hair. “A little while but I uh… I keep to myself, you know. Being a Spider-Man is pretty dangerous and scary, I don’t want people to get hurt. You’re the first person to find me.”

He scooped up Sarah's watch and got to his feet as Spi- as Peter stood up. And because he knew Peter wasn't going to do anything bad, he didn't even need to step back out of his reach. Superheroes were great. "Hi, Peter," he said with a little smile.

His smile grew when Peter told him he was the first one to find him. "Really? That's cool! Not about it being scary or dangerous, though."

It didn’t escape his notice that Miguel had his own healing black eye; older, though, almost completely gone but still present enough to bug at Peter. Miguel, the older one he knew, he’d never said much about his childhood but it was now right in front of Peter. He hated to assume the worst…

“Don’t get me wrong, it’s awesome fun and I get to stop bad guys from hurting people. That’s the best part, making people safe,” he said, smiling at Miggy. “I’ll have to show you my webshooter sometime, you can pr-… uh… pretend you’re Spider-Man.”

"That looked like a lot of fun," Miggy said with a grin, pointing out at the balconies and tracing the path Peter had taken with his pointy finger. He got serious pretty quickly when Peter mentioned keeping people safe, though, and nodded. He kept Gabri safe.

The promise of looking at webshooters, though! Oh, wow. "Would you show me how they work? Please?"
