Henry went into the bedroom and went about examining Ashley. He asked her several questions as he took her vitals and gathered information. It was about half an hour later when he came back out, bag in hand.
"It seems that at some point during your time through the door she managed to contact influenza. It's not as serious as it once was. I've given her some medication to help with the symptoms. The worst of them should subside by week's end but the cough could persist." He pulled a piece of paper out of his bag.
"I've written down all of the instructions. She'll need clear liquids and broth for the next few days to avoid possible vomiting. Once the fever breaks the worst of it should be over." He put a hand on Darcy's shoulder.
"She's going to be fine as long as those instructions are followed. If her temperature raises above 102 you need to call me immediately, but some of the medication I gave her should help prevent that." He cleared his throat.
"While she may seem fine in a few days I highly recommend refraining from physical intimacy until the cough has cleared up."
