He'd been on his way upstairs to take Mr Pickle II for a walk. At least he thought he was. He'd gotten onto the elevator. And he knew that it was supposed to open into the distillery, but this time it didn't. It opened into a long corridor. One that didn't look familiar at all. Was this more to do with his injury? He wasn't sure. He picked the puppy up and carried him along until he came upon a set of double doors. They slid open as he approached and inside looked like some sort of cafeteria. Harry kept his guard up as he walked in slowly, looking around. There was a woman cleaning up some tables along the back wall and he didn't recognize her. "Excuse me, miss, I seem to be lost." He stayed a good distance away from her just to be safe. The woman turned with a smile on her face that soon faded as she looked at him. "Shit." She uttered softly. Well that wasn't the greeting he was expecting. Isabel thought for sure that the voice coming from behind her was Mark, but he called her miss and said he must be lost. She had a smile on her face until she realized who was standing behind her and the smile faded immediately. She cursed before she caught herself, then wiped her hands on her apron and tried to get the smile back in place. "You're not lost, sugar. I'm Isabel. Go ahead and have a seat and I'll go get Eggsy, okay?" He had the glasses and the suit so he had to at least remember who Eggsy was. That would help a lot. "Eggsy, of course." Harry nodded. She knew Eggsy. That had to be a good sign. He took a seat at the nearest table and let Mr Pickle II down to run around a bit, though he kept a grip on his leash. The woman seemed to disappear for a moment. What had she said her name was? Isabel went into the kitchen and called Eggsy. God this was going to be interesting. Once she hung up, she headed back out to Harry. "Can I get you anything, darlin?" His stay with the Statesmen meant that her Southern accent wouldn't be all that strange to him which was good. "Some tea, please." He nodded. Tea would be very nice. The woman disappeared again and came back a few moments later with a tray that seemed to have everything he would need for a good cup of tea, including some biscuits and jam. How lovely. "I do need to apologize. You told me your name and yet I seem to have forgotten it." "That's alright, sugar. My name's Isabel." She said as she poured the tea. "Eggsy should be along any minute. I've got to finish cleaning up but if you need anything you just give me a holler, okay?" She smiled. Isabel made sure to keep both of her hands as visible as possible at all times. She didn't want to spook him. "I will, thank you." Harry nodded. The Southern charm was rather quaint but it did fit Isabel rather well. He sipped his tea while he waited for Eggsy to arrive. |
