His muscles had been tense for so long that at first it was actually mostly uncomfortable. He could feel every ache and tension as she massaged at his shoulders, but as she continued it did seem to make a little bit of a difference. Most of it was a physical reaction to the tension in his own head, so as he started to realise she was being kind and trying to help him, his mind did start to relax a little.
