"Well, no. Not with you there isn't," he smiled a little. While he still did find himself falling into silences, she never did make them awkward. She even seemed to find it cute when he accidentally repeated himself or rambled on a bit at her.
He wasn't sure what she was doing at first, and then as he figured it out he did start to blush. He knew that he lacked the ability to think about dancing and string together sentences at the same time. He paused, thought about it, looked up at her again. She was all smiles and sweetness and enthusiasm, and it was a little contagious. No one else was around, no one was watching or judging.
He didn't know why it had required the removal of her boots, but he didn't want to step on her toes and hurt her, so he pulled his off too before he finally got up to join her.
