She hadn't expected it. She should have, she'd read the book cover to cover several times. Longing to save the boy. She didn't know why, but that had been almost a secret obsession since 1977. She had known, faintly, just how loud Dan could be. But now she got a taste of it. And it was like a foghorn in the face.
"Wow" Bryn whispered, staring at him for just a minute. "You really are a powerhouse aren't you?" She wondered if it had dulled at all since he was a boy. She shook it off, it had been rhetorical anyway.
Putting her game player face on, she stepped over to the gouged up floor and placed her dagger over part of the markings, to let the people that were in there out. She could always put them back. That wouldn't be a problem now that the manager was dealt with. "Hurry hurry ladies and gentlemen we do not have all night." She clapped her hands together. "And we must hurry unless you all want to be trapped in this burning inferno."
