Darcy gave him a smile, and nodded at his choice. "Very good, I shan't be a moment," he told him, rising from his seat to head for the kitchen.
He passed Miss Sully on his way who seemed to be lost in her own little world. Not wanting to give her a fright, he gently reached out and touched her arm before he spoke. He looked to what was in front of her, and smiled. "It's a terribly confused barometer," he explained, reaching out to give it a tap. The pointer twirled about in confusion at the atmosphere and then settled. "Hmm. Change," he read from the now pointless dial.
"Would you care for something to drink?" he asked of her, to the real purpose of his approaching her.
