"Oh, not that. I mean, holy cow can you beat the odds. Even if you told me to beat it tomorrow, I'd still want the little guy. Because it would be part of you. I mean, this..." Her hand drifted down to the little bump, tiny really, barely noticable for what it was, even she'd mistaken it for month of eating food that might not be quite that good for you, especially if you were avoiding love handles. "This is a nothing short of a miracle."
Heather met his eyes again. "Kind of like this thing we have between us." She was pretty sure she shouldn't really be someone who interested him at all, if this were star wars land, she'd probably be one of the many that he ignored. "But what I was apologizing for, is you're clearly upset." She glanced away for a minute to take in the state of the room. Carved up walls and all. "And I'm making it all about me and my problems."
