Darcy had been pleasantly surprised when he'd received an unexpected correspondence from a gentleman who seemed to be of his own class and breeding, and the invitation to call on him for tea was very promising indeed. Perhaps it was odd that he had just accepted his fate and set to quickly forming social alliances, but it was really about all he knew how to do under the circumstances. And it was a sort of familiarity that gave him a great deal of comfort.

Speaking of comfort, he'd changed back into his own clothes, many of which had just magically appeared in his wardrobe. He felt quite himself despite the surroundings by the time he arrived at Dr Morgan's residence. He chapped on the door, and stepped back a little to wait for a response from within.
