Katherine had watched them out of the corner of her eye: the stranger and the Sully girl. The man was intriguing. His mannerisms out of place. Like her grandmother had once been. She chuckled at her memories of Holly's mother.
When, at a moment later in the party, she spotted him alone, her curiosity was too strong. She couldn't resist. She made her way over to him and in a moment, she was sure he was not looking, created the illusions of long sleeves and a much paler lipstick.
"The indecency of modern clothes... it is quite shocking, is it not?" she greeted the man from the side. She remembered the summer long wave of wearing bikini tops for every day clothing when she had been younger. The poor stranger would have had a heart attack.
