Gatsby & Open
It really was such a pleasure to be attending a party that he'd had no part in organising, and Bryn had been an absolute doll to him about the whole thing. It was sweet, she'd seemed so excited about dressing him up, and he had loved the opportunity to try out some new fashion. He'd always prided himself on being a very modern man with an immaculately up to date wardrobe, but he'd been awfully stuck in his own style of the 1920s due to an uncertainty. He didn't want to get it wrong and look a fool.
He did feel a little silly. Bryn had adorned him with hair extensions and shown him the apparently very decade appropriate 'man bun'. As for clothes, he was dressed in dark denim, a checked shirt with the sleeves rolled up, suspenders, and some nice converse style shoes. He'd never been comfortable in denim, but he was determined to give it a try.
He felt rather self-conscious, but as he moved through the bar and checked out some of the other people present, he started to feel better. She had got it all quite accurate, after all.
