Some part of Miguel was aware of all that was going on, but for the most part, he was trying to breathe and not get dizzy. His heart felt like it was trying to burst out of his chest. He couldn't look away from the horse, and it took Lyla repeating herself a few times before he reacted.
"Wh-what?"
"Your heart rate is elevated, and your breathing is too quick. You are having a panic attack. Take as deep a breath as you can, Miguel, stop crushing the samples and then say thank you to the gentleman in front of the horse."
"I... Oh, shock..." he managed before looking round at the man holding onto the horse (why? Why would you want to do that? His hand was near its teeth and he needed to stop) and tried to act like a proper sensible person. This was very difficult with a horse right there, though.
