Peter looked down. He believed that what Lucy said was true; beneath it all, he was sure he was still the same person he had been those years ago, but a lot had changed since then and it had changed, if nothing else, his outward manner. Just because he'd learned that it wasn't safe for him to love or trust anyone, that didn't mean he always managed to stop himself.
Turning, Peter began heading back towards the apartment buildings beside Lucy, glancing up at her although his head was still tilted down. "The other me seems to like you a lot," he commented, sounding quite interested.
