Teleportation was not ever going to be something she got used to, it seemed. After months of it she still closed her eyes tight, and clinched her teeth. It was definitely not a mode of transportation that she was looking to learn for herself.
Regardless, Shannon had not meant to draw attention to his weakness. The lack of flesh was unfriendly reminder of the state Katherine had found him in only weeks ago. Even her steel resolve couldn't retain the cloud of emotions the reminder. And so she pointed out her own weakness to guard against them.
She was not surprised where he teleported them to. It was a place of comfort. And she knew it before she opened her eyes. "This room feels more like home than my own does. Why is that?"
