Her ship was malfunctioning. The light drive was completely fried and her thrusters weren't going to last much longer. She was pretty sure she was about to be dead in space with no one around her for light years when the station appeared on her scanners.

"Can we make it?" She said out loud to her ship.

"Just barely, miss." The computer replied. Just barely was good enough for her. She sent out a signal to the station to let them know that she was in need of assistance and that she wasn't a pirate or something. Maybe they wouldn't greet her with pistols and handcuffs. She could only pray that they were friendly as she slowly made her way to the closest docking bay.

She had just enough thrust to navigate her ship so that she wouldn't crash right into the station and maybe kill some people who were trying to help her. Once she was officially docked with the station, she took a deep breath and headed for the door.

"Scanners indicate multiple life forms, miss. None in the immediate vacinity" The ship said.

"Thanks." She stopped just inside the door. Another deep breath and she opened the door to her ship, walking slowly down the ramp with her hands easily visible just in case.
