The droid considered the question. He did not like how that question made his heart skip and his stomach turn. Anxiety? When they were on the same side it was an easy solution. When they were on opposing tracks that made it much more difficult. Kay-tu frowned deeply.
"That cracker thing," he said with a wave of his hand as he continued to debate the logical, best solution. On the one hand there was Cassian, his oldest friend (only friend?) and someone who had been by his side for quite a while after his programing change. It seemed without a doubt he would choose Cassian. His connections to Jyn were loose at best. They were not old companions. They had not fought until near death, starved together, or hidden from the Empire for more than scant days. Yet the idea of losing Jyn was also very upsetting to him! He rather liked her. They got along fairly well, all things considered.
"I...don't know," the droid finally conceded with an obvious look of shock and confusion on his face. "I assume I would choose Cassian. We have been together far longer."
