In his head, he knew it was for the best. Banshee had not been happy on the station, and hadn't been since they arrived. There was not enough room for him to fly properly and nowhere at all for him to hunt. Banshee had been miserable. At least now, his ikran was home and flying free through the Pandoran skies with the rest of his clan. And Jake was the one who was miserable instead. All three of his bonds lay empty and silent now, and he hated it. Knowing things were for the best didn't make them easy to accept, and it sure as hell didn't mean he had to like what had happened. It just made him feel extra-specially shit when he wanted his best friend back, or wanted to be where he was.
He needed a distraction. It might not snap him out of his rotten mood, but it was something other than hiding in the Pandoran part of the park. So Jake had put most of his Na'vi things away - it was hard to be Olo'Eyktan when there was no clan, no ikran, no Hometree and no Tsa'hik, no mate. He kept his armbands on, and still wore his dagger and shell necklaces, but he wore the loose pants from when he'd visited Kytana's world instead of his traditional Na'vi clothes, and he left his renten and his bow and arrows with them. Nothing was going to make him wear shoes, though.
Then he headed for the room of Doors and went through to Rhysand's world. He was tempted to stay in the man's garden, looking at all the different plants in case he could find even a brush of Eywa's mind against his, but then he forced himself to leave and started to walk along the streets of Velaris.
