Roxy squeezed his arm and stopped walking so she could look at him squarely. Her expression was compassionate but serious.
"It's not horrible. You are who you are and I do not expect you to change for me. If you 'behave' in a situation or act differently, do it because you want to for yourself and to become the person you want to be--if you are not the person you want to be now. Don't force yourself into the shape of someone that doesn't suit you. I wouldn't fall in love with the right person if that happened and you would forever be resentful." She smiled.
"That's the extent of my college education being put to use."
