"He wears those glasses all the time, so he must have very sensitive eyes. That or he likes wearing sunglasses inside. Are you adding a standard photochromatic layer to the lenses? I think that only works when there's enough ultraviolet light to trigger the change in the molecules," Tommy pointed out, just thinking out loud more than anything, "and that would only happen in the parks. The light in the main body of the station shouldn't have that much UV at all, so it probably wouldn't trigger the change no matter how bright the lights are... I don't know how much UV the interior lights are emitting, though. I never thought to check."
He picked up one of the ruined contacts and looked at it up close. "Are you using magic at all for this? It might be easier if it was a spell, and then you can just let the magic sort out what it's doing."
