The water made her nervous. Almost twenty-six and she still could not swim. She would always begrudge Liam this. He had taken it from her. Her walk over the plank was careful. Not only because her wariness of what lay beneath but also due to the large eagle that sat on her arm. If Keke decided to fly off right now, she would have a hard time keeping her balance. She let out deep breath when she reached the other side.
Keke screeched and flew off to the next mast. Katherine wondered if he had ever been at sea before. She had no experiences with ships but having a way to control the weather seemed favourable to her.
