"That's what they told you anyway." Addie grinned at the memories that came up from the question. "There were times they were still mad at me for a few days, but I usually deserved it when it was that bad. But you and Daddy do a good job with all of us. You'll be a great mom."
She wanted that mother back though. The one she knew with grey hair, crows feet and joints that didn't work as well as they used to. That knew her and loved her unconditionally. Addie knew it wasn't fair to compare the two, they were the same person after all. One just had more experience than the other. It was hard though.
