Miguel listened to Sarah as she ran through her truncated list of island occupants, then nodded at her promise. "That's good to know, thanks," he said with a smile, before continuing to adjust the power supply to Lyla's hard-light generator.
Lyla glowed brighter for a few seconds, then had a bit of a glitchy deja-vu type moment before settling down again. "My apologies, the generator is misbehaving," the holo-agent said. "And it takes up approximately 312% more energy than manifesting as a holographic projection."
Miguel left the generator on his workbench, and walked round to the back of Lyla, to see how she was manifesting from all angles. "You're looking okay from the back, Lyla. Can you turn round for me, please?" he asked, then leaned over to the side so he could see Sarah again while Lyla walked in a circle. "Were the dinosaurs brought here from the Mesozoic, or did somebody reverse-engineer some chickens?"
