Izzy sat up on the bed and once her grandmother placed her hand on the pregnant stomach, she slid her hand around, checking to see if she could feel movement from three different places. "Yeah feisty." She agreed quietly after a minute. "Is that a good thing?"
"Of course it is." Sookie settled into one of the hard metal chairs by the bed. "They've got lots of strength and energy."
"Oh, okay. Good." Izzy managed a little smile. "I thought maybe they were smaller than they should be and that's why they could move around so much."
Sookie looked at her mother again. It seemed as if Izzy was already starting to think medically. If Sook and her father were both working when her mother went into labour, Izzy might wind up playing midwife. It was a very disturbing realization that a child might be her Mom's best chance. She looked to Izzy again. "We could start teaching you more about unborn babies and their moms." She said slowly. "Right, Mom?"
