Lucy stared at him. The island had been beautiful once; she'd seen it with her own eyes briefly before being sent to the station. Not in her time though. There'd been too much death and pain to find beauty.
"It wasn't frozen in my time." She said softly. That might have even been easier, given her a slight edge due to her tolerance for the cold. "It was worse, much worse."
She could believe that he was from a different future. After all, her own mother was from a different future as well. "What was it like in your timeline? There was a mer colony? Were there any fae or ice giant territories?"
