The door seemed familiar to him, somehow. He approached it cautiously, his tail-tip flicking as he got closer, and then put his hand out to touch it. The door opened just as he was about to make contact, sliding to one side, and Jake peered inside.
What he saw was very familiar indeed. It was a large cylindrical room that went up for a number of floors. A spiral staircase started off to his left and worked its way round and up the walls, with small landings every so often, and doorframes at each landing, just waiting for their doors to appear. An empty wooden mount was on the wall beside each doorframe, missing their brass plaques.
"Hell YEAH," Jake yelled, laughing as the sound echoed round the room, and walked over to the newel post to rest his hand on it before looking all round him once again. "Oh, man, this is awesome! I gotta tell everyone!"
