Lucy rolled her eyes at the grumble. Flings were better than the alternative in her mind. She'd seen others deny themselves even a moment of joy for fear of becoming attached or for some personal ideals. It was an added level of misery to already bad existence.
"It's already better here." Lucy smiled back and joined them. She was open to the idea of a mate, but she didn't need a significant other to enjoy the new life she had.
Lucy shook her head. "No, never." She had crushes, strong friendships with benefits, and nothing beyond that. "I'm not even sure what that would feel like."
