It wasn't Katherine who opened the door. The moment the knock sounded, Fenrir had jumped up from his corner, rushed towards the door and pushed his nose against the button. His human companion looked a bit baffled when the door buzzed open. Kat herself had now turned towards the door and was now rushing to the wolf's side to hold him back. The wolf was ready to jump his new human friend.
"Uhm, hi. Fenrir seems to think he is a butler now. Come on in," she said. The color of her mother's dress made her smile. It amused her and made her feel comfortable at the same time. Katherine herself wore clothes that were just as simple: a black skirt and a blue t-shirt. Her feet were left bare and the only jewellery that had found its way onto her body was the ever-present pendent from her grandmother.
