Who: AJ and Clint

She was warm and safe. And comfortable. She didn't really want to answer the call to get up, but her body was telling her. Begging her to move. Finally, she heed its call. Grumbling as she sat up from between two very warm bodies. Tony, and Clint.

She rubbed her eyes then followed up with a loud stretch. It must have been some night if she didn't remember it.

Clint woke up but hadn't moved or opened his eyes yet. He could sense that something was...off. This wasn't their house. He didn't know what it was or how he knew but he could also sense AJ next to him and Tony on the other side of her. Maryanne wasn't in the room but she also hadn't woken them, so he hoped that it wasn't going to be anything that warranted worry. And (though he would never admit this) maybe he'd been keeping his eyes closed and his body still because he wanted a few more moment's peace before dealing with it.

"Five more minutes" he mumbled, laying an arm over AJ as he felt her stretch, pinning her to the bed.

"I was tryin' for five more minutes," She giggled softly. She knew something was off. She figured Mary was just taking care of the kids, she hadn't heard a peep. She rolled toward the arm that locked her to that bed.

Clint made it easy to ignore the fact that they weren't in their own house. "It's a farm girl's callin' to rise and shine. But I might be persuaded."

Clint blinked his eyes a few times before finally opening them, looking to her.

"Persuaded hm..." His rough hand moved to brush some of her hair back behind her ear as gently as he could. He knew she was stronger than him, worked just as hard as he did, but somehow she still always felt...delicate, in his arms.

He kissed her slowly, taking his time since there didn't seem to be any pressing responsibilities for the moment.

She felt about as delicate as Rarity, under Clint's hands. As safe as anything. She hummed into the kiss. Her fingers ran over his chest.

As good as his lips were for distracting, what it didn't distract her from was Tony's lack of squirming over and joining in. That was out of character. Something was off. More than normal. Maybe she needed to be louder.

With that thought, AJ didn't muffle her moans as she usually would. And she let herself thoroughly enjoy that kiss.

Tony could be a heavy sleeper sometimes, especially if he'd been working hard the night before or something particularly interesting or troubling had been occupying his mind, but when AJ moaned loud enough that he could hear it more than he felt it and Tony still didn't stir...

He didn't really want to pull from the kiss, but he did. Slowly. "Was he working last night?" he asked AJ, not able to really remember the details of the night before.

"I.. I don't know. I don't remember what was goin' on last night. The only time I have trouble wakin' up, when the rooster crows, is when you all wear me out." No matter how hard she worked on the farm, it was never too hard to get up the next day on time.

When AJ looked back at Tony, she took in the room. "Ya know... I don't wanna alarm you... but... Where are we?" She asked when she turned her face back toward Clint, so he would be able to read her lips.

Clint sighed a little. At least he'd gotten his five minutes. Sort of.

He sat up and looked around. Definitely not their home. Or the Rogers, or the mansion, or anywhere else he recognized. The bed also wasn't theirs, too small, though he supposed that made sense if the room wasn't theirs either. He spied a crib next to the side of the bed he'd been sleeping on and peered in to it. Maria. He could see the rise and fall of her chest but it wasn't...right. He knew her breathing patterns, when she slept especially, and this was different.

"No idea. Something is weird." he slid out of the bed and placed his hand on Maria's chest, rubbing a little bit. The panic started to rise now. "Can you wake him?" he asked, doing his best-but failing a little-not to sound worried. That always woke her up.

Aj nodded slowly. She shook Tony's shoulder, lightly at first, but it grew hard enough to shake his whole body. Clint probably couldn't hear her, but when he didn't wake, or stir, she whimpered. She sat across his legs. She lay her hand on his heart to reassure herself of its steady beat. The rise and fall of his chest kept her from panicking too much.

"I can't." She wasn't one to give up, but she didn't want to hurt Tony. "What in tarnation is going on?" She spoke loud enough for him to hear her. Not caring if it woke Maria or their husband. She hoped it did!

Clint had picked up Maria, though he realized in hindsight that wasn't really a good idea. Even though he'd held her while she slept countless times, this was different. She was unresponsive, limp, his mind kept leaping to the worst conclusions and he had to keep reassuring himself she was breathing. He pat her back and rubbed her bottom and swayed side to side, bouncing a bit, trying anything he could think that might wake her but she didn't stir.

"I don't....I don't know." he answered, more panic in his voice than he would have liked. "And where's everyone else?" he mumbled, more of an afterthought.

Aj slowly got off of Tony. She pulled the blanket up over him, because she was unsure what else to do. She picked up her phone, set to find out just that. Where was Maryanne and the rest of the kids? Her jaw practically hit the floor when she saw the date.

"Well, I don't know what happened, but it's danged October. And even that is almost over. Last I remember it was a weird date, but by count, it would have been August if the Spire hadn't been attacked."

"Are they there though?" he asked, waver in his voice. He tried to process the date but his mind couldn't get there, not just yet. He needed to know if the rest of them were here. Even if they were...whatever this was keeping his daughter and husband from waking up.

"Our's are here from what I can gather, the ones that have phones, anyway. There's a few names missin' though." Thor. He'd made losing Big Mac easier, same face. Same appetite. Peggy. Bruce. She put down her phone and picked up Tony's using one of his fingers to wake it up. She opened the ap that she knew would tell her where the kids were. "Alright, the wee three are here but somewheres else. Bucky and Richie are close. Timmy looks like he's with the others. Maryanne is with 'em. Tim and Tj and the grandbaby are close too." She couldn't help the relief she felt when she counted everybody. The sadness she felt gone for the moment. "Thank Celestia for those chips"

His body visibly eased when he heard they were alright, though there was still a tinge of sadness in his mind, knowing how many they had lost recently and that there were more gone now. It was inevitable that the pain and loss would reach them too.

He sighed and put the baby back in her crib, "She's not waking up. Not yet." He mumbled, figuring that if it was really late October, he and AJ must have been like this too. Asleep or passed out or whatever this was. "Maybe the others will know what's going on."

"Maybe it's just some spell. It's wearin' off of some people faster than others." She placed Tony's phone back down on the bedside table. So that he would see it as soon as he woke up. "Maybe." Aj stepped to the door. When she didn't see a knob she waved her hands around. "Now.. How do we get outta here?"

Irritated she placed her hands on her hips. Looking to Clint, he was used to this high tech stuff, wasn't he? The island had been her one human place.

Clint had spent enough time in Tony's various houses and towers and sneaking through enough high-tech facilities to at least recognize where the door was. It took him a little bit longer to find the panel that opened it and figure that out, but it opened with a soft noise a moment later.

He looked back at the three of them, AJ standing next to the bed and the other two still out. He couldn't say he really wanted to leave them, but he did want to find the others. He wanted to make sure they were alright and he hoped they might have enough some more information on what had been going on.

Relief was etched on her features once the door slid open. It looked so easy when he did it, but she knew that she would have been stuck in there for a million years or longer had he not been there. She made to step up beside him when she thought better of it. She stepped around the bed and picked up Tony's phone. Taking a seat beside his legs, so that Clint was in behind her, she started recording a video.

"Hey there, handsome. I don't like leaving here knowing you could wake up any time now. But I don't quite know how to wake you. And instead of stayin' here and panickin' I figure doin' somethin' useful will probably be better. Me and Clint are awake. Maria is asleep in the crib, if you haven't already realized that. I love you. Why don't you call me when you get up, huh?" She turned back to see if he wanted to add something.

"We uh...we don't really know what's going on but the family all seem to be here so we're going to go try and find them, or anyone else who might know more." He ran a hand through his hair, making it stand up on one side.

"We'll come back and check on you guys, if you don't wake up." he said before rolling his eyes a little bit at himself, "But that won't matter cause you won't be watching this if you're still asleep so uh...ignore that."

AJ smiled at him. She could almost hear Tony's playful teasing. Her smile wavered just a little. She didn't know when she would hear it again. They had been asleep for a while, how much longer would Tony and Maria be?

But she firmed up that smile. "Don't take too long though. We miss ya already. Love you." She couldn't say it enough before she ended the video. And instead of putting the phone back on the bedside table, she put it in Tony's hand. The video open so that when he turned on the phone it would open right to it.

"Love you!" he called out after AJ did, before she turned off the video. He watched her set it up with him and then held out his hand to offer it to her. He wasn't really sure where they would go, but he wanted to try and find someone else. See if the others were still asleep or not and if they were awake, if they had any idea what was going on.

Applejack took his offered hand. Just in case. Just in case this was some strange dream that she might not wake up from. She looked back at Tony one more time. "Bucky and Richie were pretty close. Like in the room past this one or maybe a room connected to it." She was half afraid she would find them both sleeping like Maria and Tony where.
