In the meager seconds it took Kytana to arrive, Kylo had turned over half of the bed. Blankets and pillows were on the floor just shy of the glass and the mattress was sliding off the edge. He stood with a fist against the wall, dented, frozen. While he had expected Kytana to check in on him, felt her at the door, it hadn't stopped him from wanting to rip a new window through this wall he faced. It didn't stop his heart hammering or the rage boiling within his blood.
"I'm fine." A bold faced, obvious lie. Kylo Ren withdrew his hand and held it with the other before turning to face his mentor. He needed her now more than ever and he didn't want to speak to her with such embarrassment and shame. Yet his energies were all over the place, plastered by darkness with only the light glinting small deep inside. A light caused from sorrow, regret, and guilt. A light caused by the love for a parent he had shoved away behind locked mental doors.
