Oh, surely she knew it, but Nandita was not about to be the one having a fit in the presence of guests. No doubt she would moan at him later about his poor attitude in the face of trouble!
So she nodded and released him, patting his chest once and then taking her hands back and keeping them to herself. Truthfully, she was not sure what else to say or do to make him happy. Not even an hour into their marriage and already she could not fulfill her promises.
For some reason her heart ached over it.

Roxy turned back to the pair shortly after they finished their conversation. "I'm so sorry about that," she said politely as she put the phone back into the pocket of her athletic leggings. "Katherine and Rhysand will be ready to see you, though. They're excited to meet you." She smiled and turned to lead them down the hall toward the fae-god family's suite. Once they arrived she gave a knock on the door and left.
