There was just the shortest moment of hesitation. She couldn't seem to help it anymore. She knew what men were capable of when given enough power, or when they thought they had enough power. She didn't know this man, what he thought or where his mind might be.
But she shook those thoughts from her mind. No one on the island had ever shown any inclination that they wanted a world like the one she came from, and while she was very aware that it didn't mean they didn't exist, she knew she couldn't let that possibility take over her. She needed to let herself trust again, at least until someone showed her reason not to.
"Please." She told him, glancing around briefly to make sure nothing had come with her that she might be leaving behind before looking back to him, ready to leave the dim, crowded room.
