While Kaya had spent much of her time in the hangar, this was Kylo Ren's first visit. He had been heavily focused on spending time in the control room and coming to understand the navigation properties and console of the overall ship--not one, tiny, inconsequential ship. Unfortunately for him, he probably would make more progress with a single, tiny, "inconsequential ship" than the station on which they now lived. Sure, he had turned on the gravity. And yes, he had closed off some doorways and shafts to damaged areas. Of course, he even went so far as to provide life form tracking.
Steering, moving, or doing anything with the ship elsewise had turned up empty.
So here he was, looking for something to do or tinker with in their spare time that was now drifting through space. At Kaya's shouting he strode over toward the ship and looked up, standing far enough away to see her and speak with her freely but not so close he would be injured should something go awry.
"I'm certain your droid would not like to be considered a sith, even in this moment," he said with that deep vibration of voice from well within his chest.
