Having sunk to the floor, tired in his desperation to find someone on the outside, Rohan's pounding on the wall had become less than enthusiastic. He was glad to have heard from his grandmother and know she was on the way, but he just couldn't stand to wait. So when Cora showed up he sighed with relief and pressed both hands to the metal door, resting his cheek against the cool surface.
"My beautiful sea star! Precious pearl of the ocean! I am so glad to hear your voice," he said in his usual way, exuberant and colorful. Flattering. "Is it wet out there? Can I open the door?"
