Who: Rohan, Cristiano, and OPEN When: Some time in space Where: A room filled with water spill-over! What: Waking, and trying to get out of here! Rating: T for Teen! Open!
Rohan circled around Cristiano several times before slumping and sinking to sit on the bottom of the watery pool, fiddling with his phone to find some kind of solution. The red lights flashing dimly in the corners of the room were so annoying and only added to the merman's stress. At least his grandmother was alright! And others seemed to be waking up as well, coming together to survive as the island always did.
But this was not something he ever remembered the island doing in his lifetime or in the history of the island he had been told. This was new.
That was terrifying.
Rohan rubbed at his neck now and again whenever he tried to take a deep breath. The water had very little salt mixed into it. Where ever they were, whatever liquid they were in, he wasn't sure it was going to work out well for the deep sea merman floating nearby. Cristiano lingered in the water, asleep, folded forward and simply drifting in the ripples and waves made by his company when he splashed around to find a way out. There were two doors around--but he wasn't sure he should open them. What if he opened the door and all of the water in the room rushed out leaving the two merman helpless and suffocating on the all-too-thin air of this weird metal place they appeared. It didn't look anything like the houses he'd seen before on land, or in Miromara. No windows.
Half of the room was filled with water leaving the boys maybe four and a half feet to swim and breathe. Rohan surfaced frequently but found the air to be stifling. The water was better, if not uncomfortable. "Hello?" he called at the door, knocking and banging and making a racket. "Hello! Is anybody out there?! We can't get out! Hello!? Hello..."
